A Woman’s Life Purpose and Sacred Vision of Work
By Ellen Hayakawa on Jun 15, 2010 in Women's Wisdom
I love to know what people are passionate about, what they love and what they love to do – their reason for being…..or in other words where their being meets their doing. Are you being and doing the work you love? What is your life purpose, what is your sacred vision of work?
The Universe works in patterns. One of the recent patterns I have noticed in my life is – meeting women some in their 50’s and 60’s – who either do not know what their passions, life purpose and sacred vision of work are or who know these and are not doing them.
Living collectively in a patriarchal world of our own co-creation and choosing, many women have not truly connected to and gotten to know their inner self and their true reason for being. Without this connection, it is impossible to claim your divine feminine power as a woman.
It is a sad state of affairs when anyone, child, youth, man or woman does not know what he or she is passionate about and has no dreams or vision for their lives or they are not aware of their own creative gifts that they can bring to the world. A child has not had the time to make an abundance of discoveries about their gifts but someone who is in their 50s or 60s has had aabout a half a lifetime of opportunity to do so.
A truly fulfilling and fulfilled life is a life where you have accomplished your heart’s deepest desires – loving and being loved – and expressing because of your love, your passions and creative gifts – aligned with Spirit and Mother Earth. That may be stewarding children, teaching, supporting others, being a visionary, building a business, (there are as many diverse ways as there are people) – that are aligned with Spirit and Earth and that serves.
The state of Mother Earth, who in a physical way reflects the divine feminine in each of us – always reflects our collective consciousnesss. We stand by helplessly watching the blood of Mother Earth, artery cut – bleeding into the Gulf. She is bleeding the blood of all women everywhere. We cannot simply blame one corporation, politicians, government etc. As this situation is a reflection of our consciousness, we need to take personal and collective responsibility. How do we truly stem the bleeding and move to the next level of our divinely guided birthright? Both men and women must claim their divine feminine power (that is the side that there is a severe lack of and imbalance ) and work from a place of the integrated masculine and feminine.
Women must come to know themselves better – beyond their roles of being daughter, sister, mother, wife, friend – and constantly playing roles of support. These narrow definitions and perceptions of self which women have both co-created and bought into are now killing our planet. Women need to be visionaries, dreamers, implementers and builders of their dreams and visions – and finding those who can help them to implement their dreams and visions. Without taking this responsibility of knowing who you are, knowing your life purpose and building a society based equally on men and women’s visions, the planet and therefore our species is doomed.
The way that we continue to allow the abuse of Mother Earth is the metaphor for our collective consciousness as women and as a civilization. If our collective self-esteem and self value were high then we would not permit such abuse and patriarchal domination of Mother Earth’s resources to occur. The limiting factor at this point are our perceptions of self as women both individually and collectively.
Low individual and collective self-esteem and self value mean that even if we know our purpose and vision we may not carry it out. Most of us have been neglected or abused in some way shape or form as every family has some dysfunction, no matter how healthy or functional the family might be in multiple realms. This results in low self-esteem and self-value. In whatever area that you have experienced neglect, abuse or trauma – emotionally, spiritually, intellectually, physically your self-esteem and self value will be low and you will not be able to claim your power…unless you have done the healing around your wounds. We are given free will in this lifetime to do the healing that is potentially possible. If we don’t heal the wounds, the energy of unhealed hurt turns into disease that can result in physical death. From an astrological perspective your deepest wound can be found in the house and sign that Chiron resides in your natal chart – the knowledge is available to know what to heal. The clock work of the cosmos gives us an agenda for healing, if we choose. If you have experienced any illness or situation that has made you face your own mortality in any way, this is often another wakeup call to do the purpose and sacred vision for which you came to the planet.
If we don’t do our mission or purpose in this lifetime because we don’t heal then eventually we will experience physical death without having done what we came here to do. We then incarnate and do it all over again – including experiencing the same wounding, being given the opportunity to heal and making choices. The patience of Spirit and Mother Earth for us as humans to choose is unending and infinite. There is no judgement about our choices – simply unconditional, compassionate love. When we are given a mission and a sacred vision and we don’t fulfill it – in this lifetime – it is met with the same unconditional, compassionate patience and love.
Given the options and support that are available to women to heal, find their life purpose and sacred vision of life and work and do it, at this time there are no limitation except your own to achieve this. My commitment is to continue to do my purpose and anchor my sacred vision of global peace in this lifetime. A part of this is to coach women, children and youth to find their purpose and sacred visions and bring them to fruition through applying their psychic, intuitive and healing abilities.
I envision a whole civilization of healed and healing women, children and youth embracing their full masculine and feminine power and doing their sacred visions with men being present and supporting us in ways that haven’t been done in the past – so that all of us are working together to provide the ecospiritual foundation for our world. If you want to find your life purpose and sacred vision of life and work or if you know what they are and aren’t doing them and want to breakthrough your blocks, please feel free to contact me and ask about my coaching services.
I’m in my 50’s and don’t know what I am to be when I grow up — but in the meantime I know that I am to live right and be that role-model of walking the path of Truth. I am that beacon reminding others to keep at least one foot on the path of Truth and to challenge our society’s current state of “unawareness”.
My life, at the moment, is a journey of being simplified, returning to the basics, stripping away the layers of society’s perceived “have to’s”, and living life guided by my feminine energy.
It is a glorious journey and I trust that it is exactly what it is to be.
Living with no regrets,
Debbie
(Excellent blog.)
Hi Debbie,
Thank you – I’m glad you are enjoying the blog. Its so wonderful that are you are enjoying the glorious journey and are a walking model of the Truth. There are always various cycles and phases in life – and its great that you are on the journey of simplifying.
At the same time, I believe that every person who truly wants to lead a meaningful, fulfilled life must do what they came here to do and….know that they are doing it in their heart of hearts. In the meantime, each person has Spirit dreams to be fulfilled – that will also give them immense satisfaction. Simplifying maybe one of those.
As an ongoing student of life and astrology, one of the esoteric sciences of life, I know that people’s purpose and reason for being and lessons are as varied as the number of people on the planet. My concern at the moment are for my women friends and all the women in the world who are feeling depressed or are ill or feel a sadness or malaise because either they do not know what their sacred vision of work is or they are not doing it. Spirit and Mother Earth wants every woman to come home to herself, just as you are doing. Then we will be able to co-create Earth as a home that nurtures both humanity, all beings and Mother Earth.
In Spirit and Peace,
Ellen
